Dana Swaney Frederick
Research Associate

Dana Swaney Frederick is a research associate for PPA. She is currently working on several projects, including a survey of nursing and hospital best practices for the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth and a health care environmental scan for the Michigan Council of Labor and Economic Growth. Additionally, Ms. Frederick is working on a strategic planning effort for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, an estimation of the need for interpreters for the deaf in Michigan for the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, and the evaluation of the Ohio Compassion Capital Project. She possesses strong qualitative and quantitative skills and an advanced knowledge of public health and health care issues, legislative advocacy, and nonprofit associations.

Prior to joining PPA, Ms. Frederick worked as a development intern and assistant with MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan. Additionally, she worked as a clinic liaison for the Archdiocesan Health Care Network in Washington, D.C. She earned her master’s degree in public administration with a specialization in health policy from Michigan State University and her bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio Northern University.
