Researchers Promoted at PPA

LANSING – Daniel Fitzpatrick and David McConnell have been promoted from research assistants to research associates, Public Policy Associates, Inc. (PPA) Director of Research Operations Colleen E. Graber announced.

Mr. Fitzpatrick joined PPA as a graduate intern in 2008.  He is working on a variety of projects, including Michigan’s Campaign to End Homelessness, an evaluation of philanthropic grants, and an analysis of the disproportionate treatment of minorities in the juvenile justice system.  He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Michigan State University.

Mr. McConnell has been with PPA since 2007.  His current work includes facilitation support to two statewide initiatives and an evaluation of the Michigan Benefits Access Initiative, a project to assist state residents in accessing the benefits for which they are eligible.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is pursuing a master of public administration degree at Western Michigan University.
